About Us

Makarios means “blessed” or “happy” in Greek. Human beings often search for happiness in wordly things, but these aspirations and desires never truly bring joy. When looking at the scriptures, the Beatitudes show what will bring true blessedness/Makarios.

At Makarios Counseling, we will walk with those of you who are Pastors and Christian Leaders to achieve happiness on earth while also looking heavenward as that is where the ultimate Makarios will take place. We also provide therapy to individuals, couples, and families who desire a holistic approach in working towards their goals. This earth is not our home but we can do our best with the help of the Lord to obtain Makarios while we are here.

Makarios is seen multiple places in the Bible, with many more scriptures not listed below:

Matthew 5:6 (NIV): “Makarios/blessed/happy are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness for they will be filled.”

Luke 14:14 (NIV): “and you will be Makarios/blessed/happy. Although they cannot repay you, you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous.”

Revelation 19:9a (ESV):" “and the angel said to me, “Write this: Makarios/blessed/happy are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.”
